Since the show began in July of 2006, La Boca has strived to be more than the typical comedy show, finding the right mix between the top "undiscovered" talent in New York City and some of the nation’s top headliners. Past La Boca guests include Todd Barry, Jim Gaffigan, Zach Galifianakis, Gary Gulman, Tom McCaffrey, AD Miles, Dwayne Perkins, Tom Shillue, Bobby Tisdale, and Reggie Watts. La Boca’s humble beginnings can be traced back to the upstairs dining area of Limerick’s, an Irish bar on 23rd Street, where the first year of shows were held. After moving the show to the People’s Improv Theater for a few months, La Boca is now proud to call Gotham Comedy Club, one of the top comedy spots in the country, home.
